Terms

Terms of service

Effective 4 November 2026. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you play Cake & Crumb: Cozy Bakery.

Cake & Crumb is free to play and paid for by adverts. You can buy Ad Free once through Google Play, and you can't buy coins or Fame at all. Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights as a consumer.

Who we are

Cake & Crumb is made by Butterbun, a trading name of Synergy Cloud Systems Ltd ("we", "us"). Registered in England and Wales, company number 09739150. Registered office: 7 Bell Yard, London, WC2A 2JR, United Kingdom. VAT GB 488571338. Email: info@synergycloudsystems.co.uk.

About these terms

By installing or playing Cake & Crumb, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't play it, and uninstall it. Google Play's terms of service also apply to how you download the game and pay for anything in it. How we handle personal data is in the game's privacy policy, which isn't part of these terms.

The game

Cake & Crumb is free to download and play. It needs an Android phone with Google Play, and Google Play shows you whether it works on yours. You don't need an account, and you can play offline.

It's for players aged 13 and over. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before you buy anything.

Adverts

The game is paid for by adverts, which Google AdMob supplies. They're for other companies' products. We don't choose each one, and anything you buy from an advertiser is between you and them. The privacy policy explains your choices about adverts.

Buying something

You can buy this in the game:

  • Ad Free. Forever. Removes every advert for good, and Grandma's help no longer needs an advert.

You buy through Google Play, which takes your payment, so we never see your payment details. Google Play shows you the price, including any tax, before you pay.

Each purchase is one payment, not a subscription: nothing renews, and it has no expiry date. It stays with the Google account you bought it with. To get it back on a new phone or after reinstalling, open the game's Settings and tap Restore purchase. If a purchase is refunded, what it gave you is taken away.

Coins and Fame are earned by playing. You can't buy them, they aren't worth any real money, and you can't sell or swap them.

Changing your mind

A purchase reaches you as soon as you've paid. Google Play's terms ask you to agree to that when you buy, and once it's delivered you no longer have the usual 14-day right to cancel.

Purchases are made through Google Play, so refunds are too. Within 48 hours you can request one yourself from your Google Play order history; after that, email us and we'll help.

If something goes wrong with a purchase

A purchase must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described. If it isn't, you can ask us to fix or replace it. If we can't do that within a reasonable time and without causing you significant inconvenience, you're entitled to some or all of your money back. These are your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and consumers in the EU have similar rights under the law where they live. Nothing above takes them away.

What you can do with the game

We give you a personal licence to install Cake & Crumb on your own devices and play it for your own enjoyment. The game, its art, music, characters and name belong to us or to the people who license them to us. Some parts are open-source software and fonts under their own licences, listed in the game's Settings under Open-source licences.

Please don't:

  • copy, sell, rent out or give away the game or any part of it;
  • take it apart or change it, except where the law says you may;
  • tamper with its adverts or purchases, or try to get round them;
  • use it to break the law.

You're welcome to share pictures of your cakes and screenshots of the game, as long as you aren't selling them.

Your bakery

Your bakery is saved on your phone, not on our servers. Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage deletes it. If Android backup is turned on, reinstalling on the same Google account usually brings it back. We don't hold a copy, so we can't restore it for you.

Changes to the game and these terms

We'll keep improving the game, and updates come through Google Play. If a change would take away something you've paid for, or make it noticeably worse, we'll tell you first, in the game or on this website, and put it right, which may mean a refund.

If we stop offering the game, the copy on your phone will carry on working for as long as it can, though we can't promise it will run on future versions of Android.

If we change these terms, we'll update this page before the change takes effect and change the date at the top. If you don't want to accept a change, you can stop playing and uninstall the game. A change won't reduce what you've already paid for.

Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms or don't use reasonable care and skill, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. If the game damages your phone or anything else on it because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll put it right or pay you fair compensation.

We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, for anything outside our reasonable control, such as Google Play or your network being unavailable, or for business losses, as the game is for personal use.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit, and nothing in them takes away your legal rights as a consumer.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with anything, please email info@synergycloudsystems.co.uk and we'll try to put it right. In the UK, Citizens Advice can tell you more about your rights.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring a claim in your own courts instead. If you live in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country's consumer law and can bring a claim in its courts.

The small print

We may pass these terms to another company, for example if the game is sold, and your rights won't be reduced if we do. If a court decides that part of these terms can't apply, the rest still does. Nobody except you and us can enforce these terms.
