Ask us to delete your data
Email info@synergycloudsystems.co.uk with the subject "Delete my data". If you've written to us before, send it from the same address. We'll delete our correspondence with you, take you off any test you've joined, and confirm within one month. We keep only what the law requires: the record of a purchase, for six years.
Everything else the game keeps is on your phone or held by Google, and you can delete it yourself with the steps below.
Your bakery
- Uninstall the game, or open Android's Settings → Apps → Cake & Crumb → Storage → Clear storage.
- If Android backup is on, a copy may also be in your Google account: manage it in Settings → Google → Backup.
How long it's kept. Your progress and settings are only on your phone, and in your backup if it's on, so this deletes them at once. We never receive them.
Adverts, analytics and Bakery news
- Delete or reset your advertising ID in Android's Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- In the UK and EEA, withdraw consent from the game's Settings → Privacy options.
- Turn Bakery news off in the game's Settings.
- Clear the game's storage, or reinstall it. Analytics records carry a random ID for your copy of the game, not your name or email, and a new install gets a new ID, so nothing new is linked to the old records. Clearing storage also deletes your bakery.
- For data Google holds, use your Google Account.
How long it's kept.
- Analytics. Google Analytics deletes the detailed records at most 14 months after you last play. Totals that can't identify anyone, such as how many cakes were made in a week, are kept longer.
- Adverts. Google decides how long it keeps advertising data, under its own privacy policy.
- Bakery news. Your phone stays on the news list until you turn Bakery news off or uninstall the game. Firebase deletes a token that hasn't been used for 270 days.
Purchases
Google Play tells us the order number, the product, the price, the date and your country; we never see your payment details. Google keeps its own record, which you can see in Google Play's order history, under its own policy.
How long it's kept. Six years, as UK tax law requires. We keep it even if you ask us to delete your data.
Crash reports
If you've chosen to share usage and diagnostics with Google, Google Play sends us a report when the game crashes. It doesn't include your name or contact details, so we can't tell which reports are yours. To stop sending them, turn off Usage & diagnostics in your phone's Google settings.
How long it's kept. Held in Google Play Console for as long as Google keeps them; we don't copy them elsewhere.
Emails and tests
Ask us as above and we'll delete them within one month. If you don't ask:
- Emails to support. Up to two years after we last hear from you, then deleted.
- Tests. Until you leave or the test ends. We delete it within three months of that.
The privacy policy has the details of everything above.
